Safe Streets Program expands to Sandtown Winchester neighborhood

Baltimore's Safe Streets Program, which is all about reducing homicides and gun violence, is expanding due to a grant.
There have been some bumps in the road for the program, but supporters believe the initiative works and the benefits outweigh any risk.
Sandtown Winchester represents 72 blocks of just about every urban ill. It's a west Baltimore neighborhood challenged by poverty, poor health, substance abuse and violent crime.
